How about a smattering of links from the past however many months? How about it?

Item 1 – “Spoken word” poet Sarah Kay (is she not just a poet?). An engaging performance.

Item 2 – Poets Kay Ryan and A.E. Stallings were named as MacArthur Fellows. Read a bit more about Kay Ryan here and A.E. Stallings here. This also affords me the opportunity to link to Kay Ryan’s “Things Shouldn’t Be So Hard.”

Item 3 – The Nobel Prize in Literature went to Tomas Transtromer, Swedish poet. That’s a tremendous name.

Item 4 – Kate Beaton

Kate Beaton has recently released her first book of comics. I am using this opportunity to share one of her Shelley and Byron comics. Byron really is a scoundrel, isn’t he?
